کالینان: بزرگترین الماسی که تاکنون یافت شده است. این الماس 3106 قیراطی در سال 1905 در ترانسوال آفریقای جنوبی یافت شد. سال 1907 این الماس به پادشاه انگلستان، ادوارد هفتم اهدا شد و بعدها به 9 سنگ بزرگ و تعدادی سنگ کوچک تقسیم شد. مهمترین آنها، الماس 530/2 قیراطی ستاره آفریقا است که در عصای شاهی کار گذاشته شده و در برج لندن به نمایش گذاشته شده است.

4 تکنیک برای تراش الماس وجود دارد
